Wisconsin has some awesome State Natural Areas!

Ableman's Gorge is tucked into the hills around Rock Springs. It's a good place to see geology, flora, and birds!

Join Scott Weber for a guided hike up the trail.

Make Something Fun!

For several years now, the Devil's Lake State Park Nature Center has been our Kid's Corner Partner. They help us create a place where children (of all ages) can learn by exploring exciting activities. We believe that all of us learn, and retain, new ideas when a little bit of hands-on-work is involved. Creating something helps us remember!

For 2018, with the focus on native pollinators, the Kid's Corner activities will include:

  • creating homes for native bees
  • learning what kinds of plants native bees need to gather pollen
  • what other kinds of things you need to do in your back yard to help the bees flourish
  • solar bugs (some assembly remains for the children to finish)

Thank you to the Devil's Lake State Park Nature Center for being a Sauk County Earth Day Partner!
